We are staying positive while staying indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Being indoors and socially distanced does not need to be boring. Pause your Netflix binge and put a hold on Disney+.
During this time, it’s our mission to support our favourites. We at Tailored Toronto are using this time to engage with local businesses and stay active. Join the Tailored Toronto community and support your Toronto, your way.
We are keeping busy and using this time to learn something new. A variety of music schools throughout Toronto are hosting online video conferencing lessons. You can join in on the fun with:
Even though your favourite fitness studio is not open right now, it is still important to stay active. Many Toronto gyms are hosting virtual workouts on their website or Instagram pages through IGTV. For example, Misfit Studio and Fit Squad are offering free online subscriptions to a handful of videos. Here are some other clubs offering daily Instagram workout sessions:
Live sessions are available for up to 24 hours and many are being pinned to the page, so don’t stress if your schedule does not align with the stream.
If running more your speed, trade your regular trail and for an off-beat path. One way people are spreading positivity is with #ChalkYourWalk. People are sharing sweet notes connecting everyone together in spirit even when we cannot be there in person. These little acts of kindness show solidarity in tough times.
To show support for local Toronto restaurants and small businesses, BlogTO has created a map of take-out food and delivery options around the city. If you’re close enough to your favourite grub-hub, another way to support local businesses is by calling the restaurant and ordering curbside pick-up to bring the taste of toronto home.
Take some time for yourself and support the local community - it’s the best way to spend your quarantined days.
